We were proud to showcase "None of My Business?"—an innovative transdisciplinary board game created by the Community of Practice (CoP) – TransdiscipiLink at HKBU—at the Teaching and Learning Expo 2026! 🧠✨
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, played, and shared your thoughts with us. By sparking conversations with educators and students, we’ve taken another important step forward in promoting transdisciplinary education beyond HKBU. 🎓🔥

On 4-5 June, we successfully delivered five sessions of the Ocean Sustainability Workshop at the French International School of Hong Kong (TKO & JL campuses), engaging 130 primary students in exploring SDG 14: Life Below Water! 🌊
Led by Dr. Glos HO (Director and Principal Lecturer, DTUP) and Dr. Patrick YUE (Senior Lecturer, Department of Biology), the sessions brought ocean issues to life. Students dived into the world of microplastics, learning how our daily habits affect marine ecosystems. With the support of Biology students Mark and Tanvir, FIS students got hands-on with microscope observations to examine tiny plastic fragments and identify their everyday sources. 🔬
Another key highlight was Sustainable Bites, an immersive booth designed by our Year 1 transdisciplinary student team. Ryan and Victoria created a vibrant Hong Kong–style wet market where FIS students “shopped” for a family seafood dinner. Using tablets, they scanned their choices to unlock an augmented reality (AR) experience based on the WWF Seafood Guide’s colour‑coded recommendations. 🐟📱This real-life scenario encouraged students to think critically about their consumption habits and become responsible consumers, supporting ocean sustainability.
Together, these activities empowered students to take small but meaningful steps towards protecting our oceans—because every choice counts. 🌱💧

We continued our wonderful collaboration with Chris, Iris and Fion from Eco Institute, guiding secondary school students through the creative world of video editing! ✨💻
Throughout the sessions, students dived into essential editing techniques—from cutting and sequencing clips to adding transitions, music, and visual effects 🎬🎧. They discovered firsthand how editing shapes the flow, emotion, and impact of a story.
Building on their prior filming experience, students got hands-on to edit their own footage about HKBU sustainability 🌿🏫—transforming raw clips into meaningful, engaging videos. It was inspiring to see their creativity shine as they crafted stories that highlight sustainability in unique ways!
The workshop empowered students to think like storytellers—not just what to show, but how to tell it effectively 💡🌍
💡 Great editing turns moments into messages—and ideas into impact.
🌱 Let’s continue nurturing young creators to tell powerful stories that inspire change!
