CollabTech Commons

CollabTech Commons, an inclusive innovation hub at its Main Library on Level 4. Designed to bring together members of the University community across disciplines, supports learners of all backgrounds in exploring new skills.
Three main areas of the CollabTech Commons:

• Tech Taster Zone – offers walk-in access to beginner-friendly technologies such as 3D printing, 3D scanning and virtual reality, encouraging exploration without prior booking.
• Prototyping Room – supports structured project work with equipment including a laser engraver, large-format cutting plotter and large-format printer.
• Tech Stations – provide high-performance computers and professional software for digital design, modelling, media production and data analysis

RRS902 Learning Common

DTUP Office is located at Run Run Shaw Building (RRS902) in HKBU Campus, with a common area for BAScT students. Students use this hub for informal gatherings and meetings with their peers and Academic Supervisors. Creating a user-friendly hub is beneficial for idea exchange, teamwork and building community and a sense of belonging.

The Jockey Club Campus of Creativity

The Jockey Club Campus of Creativity, located on Renfrew Road in Kowloon Tong, has opened as a vertically configured campus. It includes the Jockey Club Creative Hub, featuring state-of-the-art facilities for music, film, television, video games, and other creative disciplines. Additionally, it boasts four blocks of residential colleges, collectively forming the Village CARE (Creative Arena for Residential Education), which provides 1,726 hostel places and doubles the University's number of student residential places.

Trans-disciplinary Discovery Commons (Tddc)

The Trans-disciplinary discovery commons (Tddc) is located on Level 2 of the Au Shue Hung Memorial Library. It is envisioned as a collaborative space highlighting curated selections from the Library's physical and electronic resources, with areas also provided to periodically showcase student and faculty work. The Tddc's environment is purposefully designed to have a different ambience from the rest of the Library, providing students with a further option to meet their study and collaborative needs.

Yim Tsui Yuk Shan Innovation Hub - TriAngle

TriAngle is located at the heart of the Shaw Campus. It provides a platform for the gathering of creative minds who believe in the synergy of collaborations. It is more than a physical place for meetings and projects but a co-working space for you to gather, network and make impact through creativity, interactivity and collaborations.
