On January 20th, we hosted a “Taster Session of Transdisciplinary Second Major” event, giving students a glimpse into the world of transdisciplinary knowledge and showing how different fields can work together to address real-world challenges. 🌍🚀
The session kicked off with a deep dive into the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), illustrating how the integration of diverse disciplines can pave the way for a better future for all.🌱 Participants then engaged in an interactive round of our unique board game "None of My Business," 🎲 where teams raced against the clock to solve SDG-inspired problems by drawing on a range of disciplines. 🤝 This hands-on experience showcased how collaboration and creativity can bring transdisciplinary thinking to life, demonstrating that diverse voices lead to true innovation and have the power to make a real difference in the world! 🌟

In Semester 1, our BAScARTT students undertook an inspiring internship at the East Kowloon Cultural Centre. ✨🎉
Arts and Tech students played an active role in organising innovative, tech-infused events and supporting cultural programming. Supervisors highlighted the student’s enthusiasm, adaptability, and creative initiative, which brought fresh perspectives to ongoing projects. 🎶🎨🎭📸📲
Through this hands-on experience, the student gained valuable industry insights and enhanced both technical and collaborative skills. Their journey demonstrates how our BAScARTT Programme empowers students to bridge classroom learning with professional practice, opening doors to exciting opportunities in the arts and technology sector. We look forward to seeing more students thrive in such impactful roles. 😉🎊💪

In collaboration with Caritas Hong Kong, the BASc (Hons) Arts and Technology Programme co-created a “Meaningful Play” pop-up event for 60 primary school children.💖✨😊
Our Year 3 students designed exciting and interactive play areas using technologies such as augmented reality (AR), extended reality (XR), sensor systems, and projection mapping. These creative activities helped children boost their imagination, intelligence, and digital skills in a friendly, hands-on setting.✨🎵📚🎧🎬🎨🎮
The event also gave our students valuable real-world experience, allowing them to work as a team, improve their technical abilities, and shine as creative leaders for younger children. Arts and Tech students learned the importance of using technology to make a positive impact, help children learn and grow, and also benefit our community in a meaningful way. ✨🎉🌍
