In Semester 1, our BAScARTT students undertook an inspiring internship at the East Kowloon Cultural Centre. ✨🎉
Arts and Tech students played an active role in organising innovative, tech-infused events and supporting cultural programming. Supervisors highlighted the student’s enthusiasm, adaptability, and creative initiative, which brought fresh perspectives to ongoing projects. 🎶🎨🎭📸📲
Through this hands-on experience, the student gained valuable industry insights and enhanced both technical and collaborative skills. Their journey demonstrates how our BAScARTT Programme empowers students to bridge classroom learning with professional practice, opening doors to exciting opportunities in the arts and technology sector. We look forward to seeing more students thrive in such impactful roles. 😉🎊💪

In collaboration with Caritas Hong Kong, the BASc (Hons) Arts and Technology Programme co-created a “Meaningful Play” pop-up event for 60 primary school children.💖✨😊
Our Year 3 students designed exciting and interactive play areas using technologies such as augmented reality (AR), extended reality (XR), sensor systems, and projection mapping. These creative activities helped children boost their imagination, intelligence, and digital skills in a friendly, hands-on setting.✨🎵📚🎧🎬🎨🎮
The event also gave our students valuable real-world experience, allowing them to work as a team, improve their technical abilities, and shine as creative leaders for younger children. Arts and Tech students learned the importance of using technology to make a positive impact, help children learn and grow, and also benefit our community in a meaningful way. ✨🎉🌍

The DIFH programme held its very first programme-wide field trip, with the Hong Kong Palace Museum as the destination. 🏛️
Dr. Daisy Yiyou Wang, Deputy Director of the Museum, greeted us on our arrival. She gave us a short yet inspirational speech on experiential learning and social engagement. 🌟
Our trip aims to educate DIFH students about the real-life application of digital technologies in promoting culture and heritage. It also introduced them to Chinese culture and history. 🌏
To facilitate such goals, our students were guided by professors, lecturers, and helpers from the DIFH programme and the Department of History in groups. Prof. Zhao Yi, an expert in Chinese art and religious history from PolyU, was also invited to share his insights. 🖼️
