| 27 May 2024 - 1 Jun 2024DTUP|Transdisciplinary Citizen Scientist Study Tour to AustraliaOur 14 transdisciplinary students became citizen scientists in Australia, reuniting with peers from Western Sydney University whom they met during last November. They embarked on the Hawkesbury River, canoeing up South Creek for a floating lecture on environmental issues. Next, they delved into a microplastics workshop to explore platypus habitats. On-site water testing at Yarramundi Reserve and a nature immersion in the Blue Mountains deepened their connection to the environment. Special thanks to Uncle Chris and Uncle David for warmly welcoming us to their land and sharing the rich Aboriginal history and culture. | 13 May – 17 May 2024DTUP|Transdisciplinary Study Tour in ShanghaiA group of 46 teachers and students from BAScT and HSWB embarked on an enriching 5-day Shanghai study tour, featuring an immersive experience in the world of rowing, including interacting with ex-national rowing athletes, dialogues with peers from Shanghai University of Sport, delving into transdisciplinary approaches for enhancing adolescent health promotion and company visits to Shanghai Zhuoxin Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (上海卓昕醫療科技有限公司) and China Telecom. With the integrated knowledge of health, sports and technology fields experienced during this tour, the students were inspired to provide feasible and transdisciplinary solutions that promote physical and mental well-being. |

They collaborated with 40 students from Beijing Normal University & Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) to uncover the secrets of sustainable urban development! From Zhuhai's high-tech zone to eco-friendly enterprises, clean energy firms, GAC Tech Museum, Hengqin Town Planning Hall green spaces, and urban parks, these experiences offer our students a fresh learning platform that extends beyond the classroom boundaries into the Greater Bay Area. |

| 10 Apr 2024DTUP|Field trip to the Yuen Long San Tin Flood Prevention Information Centre and Lai Chi Kok Drainage TunnelDr. Kevin LO led our Global Challenges course students on an eye-opening field trip to the Yuen Long San Tin Flood Prevention Information Centre and Lai Chi Kok Drainage Tunnel. 🌍🌱 The innovative Floating Photovoltaic system with 70 photovoltaic panels in the San Tin Polder save land resources, curb algae growth, and reduce carbon emissions. The students understood more on Hong Kong’s history and causes of flooding and flood prevention strategies as well as the sustainable features in the facilities. |

| 2 Feb 2024BAGE|Guest Lecture by Ms Zaf ChowMs Zaf Chow from Artefacts Lab gave a guest lecture about 'Blockchain Applications for Arts and Culture' in the BAGE core course FILM3147 Entertainment 3.0 on 2 Feb 2024. She discussed the latest developments in Blockchain and discussed the resistance that has been encountered in pursuing avid fan groups to get them to join Web 3.0. She also shared her latest projects with Digital Artifacts, helping museums such as M+ and Singapore National Gallery use Web 3.0 to build community among its patrons who have an interest in particular art historical styles. The team also work on using the blockchain to evaluate requests to reprint items in their collection, grant permission and collect royalties. |

The journey continued with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour at the Team Lab Future Park and an enriching exclusive visit to artist studios and workshops at the New-Who Art Village, providing an up-close encounter with the diversity of cultural offerings from the neighouring city. |
