| 6 Sep 2024 BAScT｜Year 3 Student Participated in the KCC New Century Elite Development Program 2024 Kwong Kwok Sing Cox from BAScT in the Individualised Major (Year 3) competed in the KCC New Century Elite Development Program 2024 case competition this summer. He formed a team with students from other universities and made it to the finals in Malaysia. During the competition, Cox collaborated with students from various countries. “It was an unforgettable experience to work with so many intelligent and cooperative young people of diverse backgrounds. I had the chance to closely observe how generative AI tools can be used in different tasks. This experience will help me better develop my future social impact project.”

| 20 Aug 2024 BAScT｜Year 2 Student Participate in 12th University Scholars Leadership Symposium 2024 LO Wei Yin Nadia from BAScT in Individualised Major (Year 2), was nominated join the 12th University Scholars Leadership Symposium 2024 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand during 6 to 9 August 2024! The Symposium is a transformative programme that unites emerging young leaders, providing them with the skills, confidence and opportunities to unlock their full potential and change the world. In addition to engaging in UN workshops and inspiring talks by real-life change-makers, she engaged in learning and discussions on a diverse range of topics such as leadership, charity, empowering youth, and animal conservation. She had opportunities to network with young leaders from various countries, fostering international connections.💪🌍

| 9 Jun 2024 BAScT｜Participation in "Smart City Symphony" (Collaboration between HKBU, Google HK, and AmCham HK) Students from BAScT programme and Department of Journalism were honoured to assist in the production of the inaugural episode of the Smart City Symphony series "Empowering Our City with AI: The Opening Note" 👉🏻 https://youtu.be/XFc2m5PROG8?si=W6Wo1_FJMuiBK9ix. Through the collaboration between HKBU, Google HK, and AmCham HK, the video series delved into the discussions on challenges, breakthroughs, and the profound impacts of AI on business operations and smart city development in Hong Kong.

| 27 May 2024 - 1 Jun 2024 DTUP｜Transdisciplinary Citizen Scientist Study Tour to Australia Our 14 transdisciplinary students became citizen scientists in Australia, reuniting with peers from Western Sydney University whom they met during last November. They embarked on the Hawkesbury River, canoeing up South Creek for a floating lecture on environmental issues. Next, they delved into a microplastics workshop to explore platypus habitats. On-site water testing at Yarramundi Reserve and a nature immersion in the Blue Mountains deepened their connection to the environment. Special thanks to Uncle Chris and Uncle David for warmly welcoming us to their land and sharing the rich Aboriginal history and culture. | 14 May 2024 DTUP｜Collaborative Activities with Shanghai University of Sport Exciting collaboration! 🌟 42 Year 2 transdisciplinary students from BAScT and HSWB recently teamed up with fellow students from the Modern Industrial College of Physical Activity and Health Promotion at Shanghai University of Sport to work on project-based solutions tailored to address the common health challenges faced by the youth in Mainland China and Hong Kong. To explore more solutions, our students also visited the Shanghai Youth Health Management Centre. They delved into the innovative model of "Sports + Health Promotion + Insurance" and explored solutions for youth development, psychological issues and overall health. The collaboration provided them with a valuable opportunity to leverage transdisciplinary knowledge in addressing real-world challenges.🏃‍♂💡💪

| 13 May – 17 May 2024 DTUP｜Transdisciplinary Study Tour in Shanghai A group of 46 teachers and students from BAScT and HSWB embarked on an enriching 5-day Shanghai study tour, featuring an immersive experience in the world of rowing, including interacting with ex-national rowing athletes, dialogues with peers from Shanghai University of Sport, delving into transdisciplinary approaches for enhancing adolescent health promotion and company visits to Shanghai Zhuoxin Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (上海卓昕醫療科技有限公司) and China Telecom. With the integrated knowledge of health, sports and technology fields experienced during this tour, the students were inspired to provide feasible and transdisciplinary solutions that promote physical and mental well-being.

| 24 Jan 2024 BAScT｜Video Collaboration Project with HWR Berlin Congratulations to our Year 2 BAScT students who completed the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project with Berlin HWR School of Economics and Law! The students experienced firsthand international and virtual teamwork and developed cultural sensitivity as well as collaboration and communication skills, and thus are prepared to engage in a local, global, international and intercultural setting. The students from Hong Kong and Germany joined forces through virtual teamwork and collaborated on creating videos that explored sensitivity in intercultural settings! 🎥🌍✨

| 10 Jan 2024 BAScT｜Rooftop Dinner with Academic Supervisors and Community Advisors 🌟 Each student in our BAScT Individualised Major programme is carefully paired with an academic supervisor from HKBU and a community advisor from the industry. The dinner was filled with fruitful and inspiring conversations as our students connected with their community advisors. We are thrilled to see them embark on a meaningful journey through a personalized learning pathway and prepare to contribute to the betterment of society. 💪🌟

| 27 Oct 2023 BAScT｜Study Tour to Tainan Our Year 2 BAScT students embarked on a study tour to Taiwan. They had an incredible time visiting various places and engaging in a cross-cultural dialogue with local students at National Cheng Kung University to explore the concept of individualised major and transdisciplinary studies. 🌍✨

| 29 Jun 2023 BAScT｜Google Collaboration HKBU collaborates with Google Hong Kong to bring in the Google Career Certificates Programme 2023, a suite of online training programmes for in-demand digital skills, to cultivate the transdisciplinary problem-solving and analytical skills of students of BAScT programme through the support of information technology. With the scholarship offered by Google Hong Kong, Year 2 students of the BAScT programme will enjoy free access to courses of Google Career Certificates Programme 2023 in the new academic year (2023/24) and earn credentials for in-demand skills.

| 14 Apr 2023 BAScT｜Visit to Google HK The Bachelor of Arts, Science and Technology (Hons) (JS2950) students visited Google Hong Kong. The visit provided an opportunity for students to learn about Google's workplace culture and innovative projects being developed in Google Office.

| 10 Mar 2023 BAScT｜Visit to Tsz Shan Monastery The Bachelor of Arts, Science and Technology (Hons) (JS2950) students visited Tsz Shan Monastery. Besides visiting the Buddhism Cultural Museum, the students also learned about community engagement and NGO operation.
